In 2009 Former Liverpool and Everton defender Gary Ablett was appointed as the new manager of the club by administrators Leonard Curtis. Ablett succeeded Jim Gannon in the Edgeley Park hot seat after he had been relieved of his duties at the end of the 2008/09 season after we had been placed in administration
